It is the month of Birthdays!! I can't believe that my lil guy is 8. It feels like yesterday that I was in labor for 24 hours...yes that is right 24!! But that day was wonderful, I got the baby boy I always dreamed of having! This year has many amazing things in store for him!!
For his birthday we went out with his two friends Drew and Angelita. We stopped for ice cream at Maggie Moos and then off to the Madagascar 2 movie. Mike and I even let them sit a row away from us to make them feel like 8 years olds. Hahaha, I know baby steps for Mike and I!!
Every year we bring treats to school for the kids (like most parents), so like a good mom I asked what he would like me to make and sure enough it wasn't easy like regular cupcakes but it was Ice cream cupcakes!!! I said to him I have never heard of that so he told me to Google it....(kinda sounds like his dad there), so I did and I did find a recipe. They took all day to prepare but it was well worth the effort, they turned out delicious!
Well, in other news every year Mrs.Helmke has all the Kindergartners do a 100 day project for her class and I posted that up as well. Mike had the idea to put a lil log cabin and then we punched out 100 snowflakes. Whatever we decided to do it had to have 100 somethings on it! If it were up to me I would have put 100 suns on it and not snowflakes. LOL
Emma is doing great as well! Potty training during the day if we are at home....which is most of the time due to winter! She is so fun to have alone all day. She brings me great joy! I am very blessed!
